Zelina Vega in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shows Off New Hair

Zelina Vega is a superstar in the WWE and a podcast host. She revealed on Instagram last month that she is taking better care of her hair. Vega captioned a set of photos, "My real hair has gotten sooo healthy thanks to @herhandstyles and all of the beautiful wigs she's created for me. It allowed my hair to grow and heal with no color or heat for about 2 years. Super happy with its progress. It's dope that I get to express myself and my love for hair art/ cosplay etc thru Kendra's insane talent. She literally takes my visions and make them a reality. Thank you boo!!"  How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Zelina Vega stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

Vega shared some of her wellness secrets with Muscle & Fitness. She says that she and her husband like to do a variety of different workouts. "My husband likes to make these, like, powerlifting routines for me and then we also mix it up with Muay Thai. So, it's a lot of different things that I feel like helps me a lot in the ring, whether it's strength wise, speed wise, so yeah, it's tough but you gotta fit it in."

Vega makes sure to eat healthy. She tells Muscle & Fitness that this is why she always brings food with her. "I'm also a vegan," says Vega. "So, [that's] an added annoyance as far as traveling goes, but I always come with my meals prepared. For me, I like to know exactly what I'm putting in my body. So, I make sure that I do bring the meals with me."

Vega admitted to Muscle & Fitness that she sometimes forgets to eat, and shared how she has changed this. "It is very difficult to eat though, I will say that, because you are just so busy running around all the time," shares Vega. "Like even with [media calls], I completely forgot to eat, but I learned this from Dwayne Johnson: He had a timer on his phone that showed 'OK, it's time to eat' and he would stop what he was doing and he'd make sure he gets his meals in, and then he would continue doing what he was doing."

Vega is open about being a vegan. Harvard Health reports that a vegan diet has a lot of benefits. "In a 2016 study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researchers analyzed the diets of over 26,000 men for nearly eight years. They found that vegan diets were linked with a 35% lower risk of prostate cancer compared to non-vegetarian diets."

Vega made sure to work hard at the beginning of her career. She talked about this with HOLA! USA. "I feel like my whole life has been a struggle from just everything that I started, whether it's in WWE or, I mean, my gosh, I used to go from Connecticut into New York to take a train into the city to hop on a nine-hour bus ride to get all the way to North Carolina just to train for a weekend. So it's things like that when you finally get to have a moment where you're having a championship match or you're getting to be in front of thousands of people, especially your people in Puerto Rico. That was a dream come true."
